Casa Dega Design is a small batch woodworking studio based in San Diego, CA. We specialize in made-to-order, custom wood furniture and installs for design-forward homes and businesses. Our pieces are inspired by the clean aesthetic & simplicity of modern Scandinavian design, with our own special touch of laidback, California cool.

Our goal is to create timeless, heirloom pieces built to last, with a focus on intentional design. We only source the highest quality wood and organic materials from suppliers homegrown in the U.S.

Whether you’re looking for a unique statement piece for your home, or a full-scale custom build for your commercial business, we’d love to help bring your vision to life. We accept a handful of commissions every quarter to preserve the integrity of each handmade piece.

Andrew Greene

I’m Andrew Greene – owner & lead artisan at Casa Dega Design. A few years ago while stuck in the 9-5 grind, I fell down the YouTube rabbit-hole of woodworking. I was inspired to sign up for night classes at my old high school and soon transitioned into a full-time position with a local artisan.

With 2020’s lockdown, work came to a screeching halt. I kept busy with personal furniture projects for my own home, & began drawing attention from my local community. I found a niche creating simple, but well-made furniture, using sustainable & high-quality materials. I love the intentionality & craftsmanship behind small-batch woodworking, and am always striving to create pieces that will stand the test of time.

Inspiration for Casa Dega comes from the song by my all-time favorite band, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. It's about a spiritualist town (Cassadaga) full of mystics & fortune tellers. I love the play on words – casa meaning home, with a dash of cosmic energy & artisan magic.
